@crowd – In many cases this will be a browser cache issue … can you provide a link to the page/post where this display has been inserted that uses watermarked images?

    Thanks!

Thanks. Here is my gallery with no watermarks displaying. It’s set in the Options, but won’t show in any browser.

@crowd – What are the specific step-by-step details of how you are trying to apply watermarks to those images?

    1. Other Options > Using text > Choose the position (in the center) > Type the text > Set the font (30px), the color (#ffffff) and the transparency (100%) > Refresh the image (the watermark shows on the Options preview) > Save.

    2. Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic SinglePic > Show watermark > yes > Save.

    3. Refresh my gallery page > enlarge the image > NOTHING. Check it in other browsers, no result.

@crowd – You still need to apply the watermarks to images for them to be displayed. The particular setting you referenced would also not apply to the NextGEN Basic Thumbnail display you linked to.

To apply watermarks, go to Gallery > Manage Galleries and either select the gallery to apply the watermark to, or edit the specific gallery you want its images to have watermarks and select those specific images (not all need to be watermarked if you choose not to).

Once the watermarks have been applied they will display correctly (although sometimes you will need to clear caches to see the effect immediately … trying an anonymous browser window may also show them quickly as well).

This article may help as well: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/watermarks/

    Thanks!

Thank you so much, my friend, it works like a charm!
Sorry for bothering you with this, really tried to find it in the manuals, but failed.
    Thanks again, the plugin rules!

However, it only works with text watermark. The transparent .png it doesn’t see even when i refresh the image in the Other Options. I set the absolute link to my image, tried .gif and jpg as well. The link to the image is correct, i can see it when i open it in a new tab.

@crowd – The watermark process (as far as how it works) is virtually identical whether it is a text or image that is used … which specific display are you testing the watermark on?

    Thank you for your answer.
    1. Like i said, the text watermark works great, but then again, it shows in the Refresh image thumb.

    2. Now, in Other Options i set the image watermark instead of the text, give the absolute link to my watermark and hit Refresh Preview image, but it doesn’t even show on the thumb.

    3. However, i go to the Gallery options, choose a fresh gallery (with no text watermark history), check the batch of images, choose Apply watermark, the possess loader appear, hit save after it’s done, go to the this gallery page, refresh, enlarge, nothing.

Maybe it’s me who’s dumb, but why won’t it even show on the preview thumb in the Other options?

Here is the sreenshot after i hit Refresh preview image. The absolute link to the watermark.png is correct.

@crowd – On some sites you need to use the relative link to the image … try not including the TLD part so that you are only using /wp-content/themes/ninapak/img/watermark.png

See if that helps to sort out the differences in the paths.

    Thanks!

Cais, the relative link helped to make the watermark appear on the preview in Other Options, which means the system finally sees it.
But. All my pathetic attempts to apply it to the chosen images of the chosen gallery are in vain.
    What i do:
    1. Other Options > using an image > set image URL > Refresh preview (the watermark shows) > save.
    2. Manage galleries > choose a new gallery > check the images > set watermark > apply > save.
    3. Go to the gallery page, F5, nothing.

I tried it on 2 servers, with 4 different galleries, in 3 browsers, so it couldn’t be cashed.

    Just found the problem.
In Other Options, i hit refresh image then Save, and all is fine until i refresh this page. When i return to Other Options again, the watermark is no longer on the preview, though the url is correct. Somehow, it doesn’t save it.

    (@crowd)

Here it goes, right after saving, it says Saved successfully, but it’s not true, cause if i refresh this page, the watermark is gone, though the url is there.

@crowd – Does the Watermark image URL remain in the settings? Refreshing the page will clear the watermark from the preview image unless you have specifically watermarked that particular image.

Have you also cleared the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous?
