Watermarking Images with user info

  • Has anyone seen an image watermarking plug-in that will watermark “on the fly” with the “logged in users” username?

    We have some documents that date back to the 1700’s that we want to put on our site, but simply adding a watermark with Delaware County Historical Society won’t stop others from reposting the documents or photos.

    If we can watermark the photos (must be a member to view them) with the persons personal info (name, phone number, address), I believe that would stop people from republishing them.

    Any ideas that are already out there that you know of? If not, is this even possible? Well, I’m sure it is possible, but is it practical?
