Way to disable current lang in languages switcher

Hi,

is there a way to disable link to current language in languages switcher? I know that I can hide it, but that is not an option now. I just want link to current lang to be not active – change <a> to for ex. <span>?
I know I can do that by JS – and now I have that, but it doesn’t work when script is not loaded (and it happens sometime :/)
