Way to prevent image theft?

There are TONS of methods from limiting right click abilities, using your robots.txt file to stop pirating of images, watermarks, and the list goes on and on.

Search the Internet for this information. There is plenty.

There are some javascript codes that prevent a surfer from copying a picture on a website, but there are, of course, ways to go around this… When you write about image theft, you mean people who use pictures of your website without your authorisation, don’t you? The answer is no, there is no way to pervent this. There are ways to make it more difficult, but it will still be possible.

As explained there is no way to prevent people stealing your pictures and text. Unfortunately forums and blogs facilitates such practices (no flaming intended). If you don’t want your web photos (and ideas) stealing, the best thing to do, is not put them there in the first place. What you can do is prevent the use of your bandwidth by using the appropriate code in the .htaccess file, so that hotlinking your pictures is blocked.

Ok, did some quick reading, thanks Lorelle. Tried the stop right click but it does not work on Mozilla. I do have hotlinking enabled.

I think I will play with minimum size images and/or a physical watermark-logo impression in the middle of the image that would take some tedious editing to get rid of.
