• Is there an easy way to get a list of themes installed in a multi-site, and then, what sites are using each of the themes? At the very least a list of the themes and the number of sites for each theme.

Can this be seen in the database somewhere?

  • There are not very many themes that are compatible with multi-site. I have a multisite and use the MH Magazine theme. It works pretty well. That have great support too. Whatever theme you get, make sure the developer is dedicated to that theme for the long haul. When choosing a theme look for one that works well but also can be used on unlimited sites. If you do MH Magazine I think you get to use the premium version on 4 or 5 sites. The free version works well too.

Here’s a link to the supposed best multisite themes (I didn’t write article):

Here’s a link to the MH Themes. I believe they are all multi-site compatible but double-check that before purchasing. You can use the free version to make sure it works with multi-site first.

Thanks but this doesn’t address my question at all.

I have two multi-site installs. One of them uses the same theme on all sites within the multi-site. I use a WP Zoom theme on this site. It works great.

On the other site, there are about a dozen themes installed, and different sites within the multi-site use different themes. Many of these are free hemes and some are premium themes. I haven’t encountered any issues here either.

Except, I’d like to keep track of what sites are using which themes. I just I can go in and check each one and make a list, but I was hoping there was some more automatic way to get this data.

would love to know this as well. I have a multisite install that is a few years old now and would love to find an easy way to see which themes are in use, so I can remove older themes that are not being used.
