    Hi Joe,

At last, a plugin that actually does what I want with maps, thank you.

Unfortunately, there appears to be a clash with Leaflet Map and/or Modern Events Calendar Lite on the linked page. I have another site [ redundant link removed ] with both these plugins and Waymark activated and it all works!

At the moment the walking site is full of Leaflet maps that I would like to reproduce with Waymark, but until I can get both plugins activated and working on the site I am a little stuck.

If you can take a look at the site and/or give me some pointers to resolve this issue I would be most grateful.

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Hi @rottensod,

Thanks for your feedback and your kind words. I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue, so I really appreciate you reaching out.

The page you linked to gives me a 404 “page not found” error and I can’t see any errors from Waymark or Leaflet on that page. Is the error visible on the front end? If so please could you set up a demo page, with some details of how to reproduce (ideally with the version numbers of the plugins you mentioned and what steps are required to see the issue).

I am certainly eager to get this fixed so you are able to use Waymark as you intend.

Just so you know, it’s a long weekend here and you have caught me just about to leave for a bike trip, so I won’t be able to work on this until next week I am afraid.

    All the best,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

You go off on your bike trip and enjoy yourself.

I’ll set up some pages in the meantime to demo what I’m on about. I have been playing at it all day so that could be why you got a 404 when you looked. If I find a solution during the week I’ll let you know.

The CSS for the other fix works well, thank you.

    Cheers,

    Phil.

    Hi Joe,

This is now a bit more serious.

On two different sites I am unable to add or modify an image using Elementor when Waymark is active (with all other plugins inactive).

I am, of course, using all the latest versions of everything and the site is running PHP v7.3. The results are the same with PHP versions 7.2 and 7.1. I even tried 5.6 so it’s not a PHP issue.

I will continue to experiment and update you as I go.

    Cheers,

    Phil.

    Hi Joe,

I hope you had a great bike ride and apologise for throwing this at you on your return.

    There are now three concerns:

    1. Waymark and Leaflet Map (v 2.15.0) by bozdoz clash.
    2. With Waymark installed I can’t edit images in Elementor.
    3. With Waymark installed I can’t always edit the Featured Image of a Post.

    2. and 3. don’t bother me that much and I can’t easily reproduce 3.

For 1. I have set up three test pages with identical information. I am using “plugin load filter” by enomoto to enable/disable Waymark and/or Leaflet Map in the three pages. None of these pages use Elementor or Gutenberg.

The first page /waymark-test/ enables both plugins. Only the Leaflet map is displayed.

The second page /waymark-test-2/ enables only Waymark. The Waymark map is displayed.

The third page /waymark-test-3/ enables only Leaflet Map. The Leaflet map is displayed.

There are links to each page on each page … if that makes sense?!?

I do have a number of other plugins activated but it doesn’t seem to matter whether they are present or not. On another site I only have 4 active plugins; Disable Gutenberg, Leaflet Map, Plugin Load Filter, and Waymark. The Waymark map will not load.
    https://history.fleckney.online/map-test/

On yet another site I have both Leaflet Map and Waymark installed and Waymark is working on this page: https://www.stuffanddollup.co.uk/blog/information/map-test/

The difference is that there is no Leaflet Map map on the same page!

I tested the history page https://history.fleckney.online/map-test/ again with both plugins enabled but no Leaflet map on the page and Waymark map was displayed.

So, I added yet another test page to the walking site https://walking.fleckney.online/waymark-test-4/ that only has a Waymark map on it but with both plugins enabled. The map does not show! I thought I was getting somewhere!

I hope that we can resolve this issue as I would like to use both Leaflet Map and Waymark on my walking site.

Hopefully, you have enough information and sample pages to work on but please let me know if I can do anything else to help.

By the way, I generally use Firefox but the results are the same in Chrome and Opera.

    Kind regards,

    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

Your detail was a big help in tracking these bug down. Much appreciated!

I have just released version 0.9.3 of the plugin, which includes some fixes that I believe resolve issues 1 & 2 (and possibly 3 – I wasn’t able to replicate that
    one).

    In case you’re curious:

    1. Because Waymark and Leaflet Maps both use the Leaflet JavaScript library there was a conflict here. They should play nicely together now.
    2. Elementor didn’t like Waymark loading the media uploader, which as far as I can tell this actually a bug in Elementor. A small tweak side-stepped this.

Please do let me know if this isn’t the case or you encounter any more issues.

    Hi Joe,

Many thanks for sorting this out. Everything appears to be working now. Even 3.

I realise it must be a nightmare writing stuff like this as everyone has a different combination of themes and plugins. I’m glad we were able to crack this and if anything else crops up I’ll let you know.

Thanks for a great addition to WordPress.

    Kind regards,

    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

I am very glad to hear that this got you up and running ?? Yes it’s always fun trying to make things work for everyone!

Please do let me know if you have any feature requests. Feedback like yours is surprisingly rare and is invaluable in making software better for all.

Reviews are also a big help too, if you have a minute more to spare.

    All the best,

    Joe
