Ways to translate this plugin ?

This is a great plugin and i firstly wished to thanks the author for it.
That said, i’ve not found any other way to translate the “Follow” button at the bottom of the site than rewriting “follow.php” core files.
This is bad because if the plugin has to be updated than all changes will be overwritten.Also, when trying to create proper .mo and .po translation files from the “follow.pot” source file (that’s included with this plugin btw), i get multiple text domains.
It appears that this plugin uses copied content from ‘subscribe2’ plugin. So when i try to translate from “follow.pot” it doesn’t get to properly translate all the content.Moreover, the “Follow” button content is located in the #bit div (line 8543 to 8583) in “follow.php”. Not included into any __() or _e() php functions.
.mo and .po files can’t even translate anything there.So here come some questions i’ve in mind:
– Is it possible to replace all ‘subscribe2’ (and ‘subscribe’) strings by ‘follow’ to get one and only .po file ?
– Could we add __() or _e() php functions in that #bit div so that the “Follow” button content can get properly translated by translation tools ?
