WC 3.3 Catastrophe

I don’t think it is the same issue.
It seems that “Uncategorized” category was added in 3.3 as a default category and there is no way to delete it ???

No you cannot delete it. “Posts” have this also.

Same problem here. The thing is we don’t have any products assigned to that category and nonetheless the category shows up on our sidebar category widget. We want to delete it or not make it visible.

You can set another category as a defaut one, then the “Uncategorized” category can be deleted.

Same problem here. And it appeared after the 3.3 update.. Now I rolled back to the previous version because of too many errors and the “Uncategorized” category is still there and cannot be deleted.

WC 3.3 is my NIGHTMARE !!!

Who tagged my post as RESOLVED ???

I understand uncategorized is default, but how can we change another category to default so we can delete this one?

The only way I found to fix the issue was to search “Uncategorized” in wp_terms and delete it.

Until WC 3.3 come out for a patch or a fix for this try using the wp rollback plugin. after instaliiing this plugin I was able to roll back my wc to the earlier version and my uncategorized issue.
