WC-AC Hook Default Tag

Hi Prabhu,

I cannot be certain what your ActiveCampaign automations do (or how they are triggered), but let me check you understanding of how the tags work.

You have a product tag ‘SupporterMember’. You also have default tags of ‘ChampionMember’, ‘AdvocateMember’, ‘TotalParityPioneer’ and another one (at least) that I cannot fully see from your screen shot. The last tag in the default list is important since it will be used for order tracking (along with the product tag).

Since you have ‘Track Order Status’ set, please make sure you have read the plugin FAQ on ‘Can I track order status and abandoned carts’ so that you understand what checking this box means (you may not need this checked or it may not be working quite as you think).

Although it is not incorrect to have multiple default tags, it is unusual to bother with more than two (since you are not gaining any useful information). So I suspect there is a misunderstanding but we’ll see.

If it is working (i.e. the tags are being added/removed) as described in the FAQ then you will need to check your automation triggers.

If you are still not clear how it should work after reading the FAQ, then please let me know all your default tags (i.e. including the ones I cannot see from the screenshot) and I will give you a specific example of the tags you should see being added/removed on ActiveCampaign when a customer makes a purchase from your shop.

Prabhu – You must not add the tag in the automation. When you add the tag again it will probably trigger the automation multiple times.

Hi Prabhu. I would like to help more but this forum is not intended to help advise on how to use ActiveCampaign and create automations. I like to be helpful but there is a limit to how much I can do. You must use the ActiveCampaign help and support to educate yourself further on the use of ActiveCampaign.

Nonetheless, I would re-iterate that WC-AC-Hook will add the tag(s) that you specify to the ActiveCampaign contact when an order is placed. You may then use this event (i.e. use a start of ‘Tag is added’) as a trigger to start an automation (e.g. to send an email). You do not need to add the same tag again in the ActiveCampaign automation since it will already have been created.
