wc table dissappears from database

Please consider updating your WooCommerce database from the “WooCommerce → Status → Tolls → Update Database” area and see if that helps. Please make sure to create a backup of your site before updating the database.

If updating the database doesn’t help then please share your WooCommerce error logs and System Status on this thread so we can take a look at your configuration and check the issue further:

System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

Please go to WooCommerce > status > tools > scheduled actions > pending locate the pending actions and run them, allow some time for them to run.

I am wondering if after receiving the update of the new WooCommerce version there is still something pending to be up to date.

You can also switch your theme to Storefront then disable all plugins except WooCommerce, at this point, try again to Update database, and verify database tables.

I run two pending actions, then I installed Storefront, disabled plugins and updated database again. I verified database: all the tables were there.

But, when I clicked on Regenerate the product attributes lookup table, the table wc_product_attributes_lookup was deleted.

I created table again (from a backup), regenerated one product, and the table was still there. Regenerated another one, the table survived… but when I tried a full table regeneration, the table was deleted again.

Hope this will give some clues about the issues’ cause

Thanks for the additional information.

The product lookup table was introduced in the WooCommerce 6.3 release, and it triggers a request to upgrade the database: https://developer.woocommerce.com/2022/02/02/new-product-filtering-by-attributes-rolling-out-in-woocommerce-6-3/

It sounds like you are stumbling on a bug affecting the database upgrade. That is set to get fixed with the WooCommerce 6.6 release: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/32065

In the meantime, you can disable the lookup table by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Advanced and try it again when 6.6 is released.

To test version upgrades without affecting your live site, you can use a staging site (your host might have that feature, but you can create it with WP Staging as an alternative).
