The latest version of our plugin adds PayPal Plus, which uses the PayPal SDK for integration. That SDK requires PHP 5.3 or higher on your server. Sounds like you must have PHP 5.2 or earlier.

You’ll need to either revert back to 1.1.6.3.7 with our plugin, or update PHP on your server. Your hosting company can get that done for you.

PHP reached “end of life” up to version 5.4 already. So really, anything earlier than 5.4 is no longer officially supported. It is recommended that you get updated on the server, otherwise you’ll run into similar problems with other plugins and/or WordPress itself in the future. You’ll have to deal with it eventually.

Again, I would recommend contacting your hosting provider and letting them know you need PHP updated. Of course, it would be best to test that with your site to ensure the PHP update doesn’t cause any other problems, but if you’re just running WordPress with some plugins you shouldn’t have any.

I ran into the same problem. If I can’t get my hosting company to upgrade to PHP 5.3 just yet, how can I revert back to 1.1.6.3.7? Thanks. /Bob DeCloss

@brdecloss, you can download 1.1.6.3.7 with this link.

I would delete the current version completely from your site, then you’ll need to extract the files and upload them manually.
