    Dear Developer,

    Recently I found that define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true ); did not work even on fresh WordPress install (PHP 7.4.28).

    It throws error message like Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wc_get_container() in /var/www/mydomain.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-install.php on line 1122

    Thank you

  • Hi @siprof

    Just to clarify it a bit more, are you trying to fully remove all the WooCommerce data from your WordPress site? If so, can you let us know where are you adding this line: define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true );

    Also, I wasn’t able to reproduce this behavior on my test site, so could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.

    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Thank you!

    5. Next, I add define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true ); into wp-config.php, just before /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ as written in https://woocommerce.com/document/installing-uninstalling-woocommerce/
    6. Deactivate WooCommerce plugin
    7. Delete WooCommerce plugin >> error happens
    8. Here is the error log from nginx log:

    Hi there,

    Thank you for providing the requested information.

    How do you install WooCommerce? Do you get the zip file from the www.ads-software.com plugins directory here or use tools like Composer or the WPackagist?

    (@siprof)

    Hello,

    I install WooCommerce straight from Plugins menu >> Add New >> Popular >> WooCommerce

    Thank you

    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing the details, I was able to reproduce the error using a test site.

    I would suggest you report the issue directly to the WooCommerce developer team here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues

    Thanks for your help.

    @siprof

    Were you able to get this issue resolved? I’m running into the exact same thing trying to do the same thing.

    Hi @erichboileau and @siprof

    It sounds like you’re running into a similar problem as is described here:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/32915

    Our developers are now looking closer into the issue. It will hopefully get fixed on an upcoming version of WooCommerce.

    Meanwhile, please try the following workaround, as suggested on the GitHub report:

    Add define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true ); to the wp-config.php file, on top of the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    Go to Plugins > Plugin Editor and select WooCommerce from the drop-down. Add this code to line 38 of uninstall.php: include_once dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/woocommerce.php';, right before the line include_once dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/includes/class-wc-install.php';

    Save the file, then go to the Plugins page. Deactivate WooCommerce then Delete it.

    Remove define( 'WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true ); from the wp-config.php file

    Hope that helps!

    Erich

    (@erichboileau)

    @hegenberg Thanks for the quick response!

    I just now found this same solution over on the issues list. I’m going to give it try tomorrow.

    Thanks!
