WCK: Meta box doesn't show up on edit screen

Is that metabox published or is it saved as draft?

For your info: I also use another custom field plugin, ACF, with which I have created custom fields for my “artists” post type.

On your custom post type edit page, look at Screen Options and see if it’s there or not.

If it’s not there, could I have a look your wp backend? It might be a bug or a javascript conflict or error. (it could help to look into your js console and see if there are any errors. )

Unfortunately I cannot see the option highlighted in your screenshot. What might be the reason? I re-installed the plugin, but with no success…

Has this problem been resolved? Because I’m running into the exact same problem and can’t figure out what the problem is.

If you have a page template or a particular ID mentioned in the metabox, then that metabox will appear in pages or posts or custom post types that have that particular page template or ID.

I have a similar issue. What I’ve investigated:

• Meta Box Options does appear if template is custom but post type is page,
• Meta Box Options does not appear if template is custom and post type is custom (even if I set the same post’s template via db),
• Meta Box Options does appear if template is custom and post type was custom but I just have change it to ‘page’ via db.

Unfortunately it will never work with a CPT and a page template mainly because CPT’s don’t support page templates. Only pages support page templates.

So yes, your findings are correct. We should probably make the interface more intuitive now that I think about it.

Any Solution?

I got same issue.
Does not show custom fields at new posts, new pages and custom page template until I save as Draft.

There is a similar plugin which adds fields automatically when I select custom page template in new page.
