    You are correct. The plugin cannot be installed on localhost due to many plugin functionality that is tied to a valid site domain name.

    Although you can install the plugin on localhost, almost all functionality from the plugin will be disabled due to the above and other security restrictions.

    Most of the functionality in the CMS is available in the WordPress plugin as well.
