    Hey guys,

I’ve created a simple web app that i’m looking at linking my wordpress site to. I’m struggling understanding where to place all the files for the app, including the html page, to be able to view it under https://www.mydomain.com/webapp for example

I don’t believe that page templates in wp would work, nor am I trying to set this as the home page and counter the index.

Would anyone have any advice for this?

    thanks

    Why not?

I’ve run all sorts of crazy things on template pages, why not give it a shot? If it’s more than a few lines, you could put it in a plugin.

    Hi,

    thanks for the reply.

Its a web app i’ve created with a html page for displaying the content and several js pages referenced, a csv file and some other elements. Wondering how I would get this to display within one of the themes wordpress pages (ideally) or in a such a way that I can link to it (ie https://www.mydomain.com/webapp) that I can then make look like the theme with some css.

Why not put your webapp in your root domain and your WordPress blog in a subfolder?

Otherwise, you should still be able to put your webapp in a subfolder.

hmm. I seemed to try that but couldn’t pick up the html page.

I’ve currently the wordpress install under a folder named ‘html’. I’ve tried placing the web app within the root only to find I get a 404 page. I know I’m missing something really obvious :-/

Is WordPress configured to run from the root domain?

    yes it is :-/

It’s probably the WP permalink rewrite rules in your .htaccess file that are causing the problem. Have a look at https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/page-links-to/ Perhaps it will help.

Do you have a .htaccess file in your webapps subfolder?
