I’m not confident that Bluehost tech support gave me correct info on our website server configuration. Not sure which choice to select. In cPanel Versions list Apache 2.2.3.1
In info.php doc, Server API is CGI/FastCGI

So is Apache + CGI/FastCGI the option I need to select?

What is: + suPHP, + mod_php, + CGI/FastCGI, LiteSpeed, NGINX? BH Tech had no idea what I was asking…

    Hi,

In general, the recommended option that is pre-selected when you first see the firewall setup page should be correct.

Since the Server API shows “CGI/FastCGI”, your site most likely uses suPHP or CGI/FastCGI. These are similar, but suPHP has some differences — if suPHP is the recommended option when you visit the firewall setup page, that should be best.

(mod_php is when PHP is run as an Apache module and would have a different Server API, and LiteSpeed and nginx are two different webservers that can replace Apache.)

    Hi @walletfiber,

We have the steps to manually remove the firewall files here:
    https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Web_Application_Firewall_FAQ#Uninstalling_the_firewall_files

If you still have trouble and need more details, please make a new post using the form at the bottom of the Wordfence forum here. (The www.ads-software.com forum rules ask us to keep each person’s issues separate, and it also helps us keep track of open issues, so no one gets skipped in long posts.) Thanks!
