Web designer vanished, need access to admin panel

  • Our web designer has not been seen or answered calls in two months. He had not finished our site, or provided the log-in or password to the admin panel so we can move forward. The password given to the hosting company was been changed along the way. We are a non-profit, and need access to the site. HELP!!!!!

  • Unfortunately there isn’t much that the members here can do to help.

    If you, or your organization, owns the web hosting account, the best thing to do would be to contact the host directly, and try to get the password reset by verifying your identity.

    If the web designer owns the web hosting account, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. Sorry.

    Right, what Matt said. Let’s hope he’s not doing this on purpose. In any case, going forward make it a practice to own your domains.
