Web Directory Free conflicting with Template Editor

    Good day

    A website that I manage, https://bayport-dev.co.za , is using the theme TheFox (Version 3.9.61) This template makes use of the Redux framework. We have been using your plugin Web Directory Free (latest version 169) for quite some time, but recently (assuming due to upgrades of TheFox, WP Core, Web Directory Free) this plugin is preventing a Redux-based editor in TheFox from allowing input (seems to be an editor called Ace-Editor)

    When I deactivate Web Directory Free temporarily, I am able to access the editor.

    Are you aware of any conflict between your plugin, and TheFox theme, or the Redux framework?

    We are on WP 6.4.3 and PHP 8.1

    Hello, on the homepage of your site I see some javascript errors from different plugins installed on your site. This can be the reason of your problem. You can see errors in browser console.

    Good day, thanks for the prompt feedback. We don’t think it’s got anything to do with JS errors, we know that when we deactivate your plugin, our template editor works, and when we activate your plugin again, the editor does not work – hence a direct conflict between the plugin and the template. Could you assist us further please?

    JS errors on your site can break functionality of both plugins – our directory plugin and template editor. So you have to fix the issue on your site first to get stable work of all plugins.

    Hi, I saw JS errors relating to one plugin, so I temporarily deactivated that plugin, but it has not affected the situation. From your browser console, can you see any other errors please?

    OK, are there any JS errors on the page where you have problems?

    Also quite helpfull to look at the php errors log file to diagnose the problem.

    Hi Sir. Yes, when your plugin is enabled, we get this error:

    Uncaught ReferenceError: ace is not defined
    init Redux
    jQuery 2
    init Redux
    jQuery 2
    Redux 2
    jQuery 2
    Redux 2
    jQuery 6

    When your plugin is disabled, the error goes away. It really looks like your plugin is conflicting with the Redux framework that TheFox is using, and disabling the ACE editor. Any way to get around it?

    As this error comes from Redux framework files I am not sure I can fix this from our side.
