web site crashed

  • I have updated my graphene version to 1.8.2 and was changing the menü colours whereas I got different colours in IE and Firefox.
    While working on it I made some changes (no idea where) and now the whole website is not working. I even can not access my admin area.
    Please help. I am not an expert but I damaged the web site of a company where I was going to make some changes. Please support. Is urgent.

    to get started:
    can you load a backup version of the theme?
    have you modified any plugins?
    did you made changes to the theme/functions.php?
    do you get any errors or just a blank site?
