Web site slower and compatibility problems

  • Our website loads much slower with this plug in activated. We only use SG optimizer and no other plugin of this kind, witch is the support go to explanation for speed or compatability problems. Also had compatibility problems with weglot, but that was eventually resolved.

    We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the website performance while the plugin is active for your website.

    I found the website in your profile within our system and performed several different checks and speed tests.

    The results with the SG Optimizer plugin active and all enhancements enabled provided much better speed results and scores than when the plugin is inactive.

    The speed difference from an end-user standpoint was also significant and when the plugin was active the website loaded quite fast even though there are many elements loaded by the large number of heavy plugins and templates that you are using.

    I would suggest you enable the .webp image conversion which will additionally improve the score of your website and allow faster image rendering for visitors. In addition, you can open a Site slow ticket through your Client Area under SiteGround and we will provide you more insights on what elements of your application are slowing the performance.

    If you can provide us with proof that the plugin is actually slowing down the website rather than improving performance we can investigate further, yet this is not what I experienced while performing the speed tests using Google PageSpeed.
