Web Stories Show Blank White Screen on Iphone

Additional Note: If I go back and Update the Web Story, it will work on all platforms for a bit, but will eventually the screen will go back to the White Screen on the IPhone.

Same exact issue. It happens to all of my stories.

Can you tell me what device you are using? Have you tried accessing the story in an incognito window?

I am using an Iphone 12 Pro.
I just tried incognito and it did not work.
I have feedback from others using multiple devices that they are not working either.
This is incredibly frustrating because there is no rhyme or reason as to when one is working or not.

@theadventuredispatch I understand how this can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can narrow down what could be conflicting with Web Stories. I will investigate your Site Health information and try to reproduce your issue on my end. In the meantime, could you help us rule out your theme as a possible conflict? If you could temporarily disable your theme, activate a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Two, then check once more if you can access the story URL on mobile.

OK – I tested it. I activated the Twenty Twenty Two Theme. The link above (Rae Lakes Loop) will work on desktop Chrome, but still not on Iphone 12 Pro.

I know if I go in and Click Update it will work, but I am leaving that one as is so you can replicate the issue.

Would you like me to keep the Twenty Twnety Two Theme activated or can I switch it back?

@theadventuredispatch Thank you. You can switch it back now. It seems that mobile is getting a cached response and your Site Health shows you are using the WP Optimize plugin. Could you please try to clear the cache or temporarily disabling that plugin and test once more?

Good to hear. You could try to exclude Web Stories URL from caching in WP-Optimize Settings > Cache > Advanced Settings > URLs to exclude from caching > add /web-stories/*.
