Installed/activated ActivityPub and WebFinger, Site Health reporting Webfinger Endpoint unavailable.

My site is hosted on Dreamhost.com’s Shared Hosting which uses ./well-known/ to set up Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates.

I’m guessing the plugin couldn’t set up whatever it needed to in there to function. Is there a workaround? I have file access so could drop things in/edit .htaccess as needed.

  • @pfefferle thank you so much for contacting them on this. I’d so love for this to work. ?? Been trying different things for about a week but maybe it’s just not meant to be with Hostinger. Their support seemed pretty clueless on the issue but keep me posted if they claim any fixes. ?? I am contemplating changing hosting providers for that site if it is a Hostinger issue. Are there any hosting providers you recommend that Activitypub works smoothly with?

I’m seeing the same error as @aevisia within my WordPress Dashboard/Activity Hub plugin area.

I also posted on this forum/support string. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/site-health-json-error/#post-16418749

My site is hosted at Siteground. I can talk to them about this but would love to understand if there is anything I am doing wrong on front end first before engaging them.
