• Hi Josie,
Some strange behaviour with auto-close feature on webforms. In order to set the date/time for Auto Close, we have to first save the form itself then go back in to set the Auto-Close date/time. Or else we cannot access the date picker. Is this expected?

More puzzling is even after we set and save the Auto-Close date/time, it become disabled when we go back to check, as if it was never set. This occurrence is sporadic and I cannot reproduce it everytime. Not sure if I missed anything.

    Please advise.

  • I have the same experience after the hosting company did some updates.
Other clubs are getting the same issue.

Mine has always been like this, or at least for a long time. I also have to type the date in rather than using the date picker. Doesn’t take too long, have got used to it.

Here is my work around and have worked 99%
    The page is closed.
Check for upload and open the the web form.
    Enter closing date
    “SAVE” important
    Enter the time
    Save.

    For most parts it works.

There have been a few issues with the package used to generate the calendar. Last time I looked at it I thought it would be too difficult to make it work on an unsaved webform.

But thanks for raising the issue, because with a second look I found a way to do it without major changes, and have just release version 1.3.25.

There may still remain occasional cases where the calendar does not display in the best place.

    Hi Josie,
Thanks for the update. I test the new version in the development site. On the new webform I am able to enable both the Open and Auto-Close feature in one go. The date-picker displays ok for me. The closing date is still there when I go back to check. So I think it is fixed.

However, I do see a php error message in the error log:

    20220211T211155: XXX.com/dev1/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
EWZ: Ewz_Webform_Input: unexpected input field pll_ajax_backend with value ‘1’

Is this related to the issue or is something else?

I think it’s probably related to another plugin.
An “unexpected input field” is usually not important except as an indication that something is sending input that entrywizard does not expect.

The only thing I did at the time was create a new webform, setting the Open and Auto-close features. Since it is in a development environment, no other task was done. I don’t see any apparent adverse effect, so it may not be important. Just want to make you aware of it. Thanks.
