• Hi,

First off, thanks for this great plugin.

One additional question which I couldn’t read in the docs. Are images via Cloudflare automatically served with webp, etc. images, or do you need to create this yourself via Workers in Cloudflare? Do you have any inside information about this matter?

    With thanks,
    Demian

    Hi @demian85,

Thanks. Yes, images will be served in the best possible format that a visitors browser supports. Could be WebP or even AVIF. You do not need to do any additional actions after offload.

    Best regards,

    Hi @vanyukov

So I offloaded the entire media library, but when I inspect the pages, everything is still originally jpg and png served from cloudflare. No new gen images. So how does this works?

Sorry! I have to come back to this. I did a pagespeed test, and it still stated “use next gen images”, but this was coming from OpenStreetMap iframe. It seems to be all good.

    Hi @demian85,

I’ve checked your website. The local images that were offloaded are serving in AVIF format for me, with two logo images, that are served in PNG, which is fine, because smaller files might not have a benefit from conversion.

    Best regards,
    Anton
