• Hello, I recently upgraded to premium. I have a few issues.

    1) I converted all images to webp using the Robin plugin. How do I verify if it is working? I checked in google lighthouse but I am still flagged for not using “next gen” images. I also searched the page source and did not find webp images, when I visit the image links in page source there is no redirect to webp images. The selection I used to implement webp was the .htaccess option provided and our server is Apache, so it should work. I also saw that your code was inserted in cpanel .htaccess file.

    2) I had 5000 credits, the webp conversions were less than 4000 and I did not do any other optimizations. However, all of a sudden my credits are 0 and I cannot do any optimizations at all even for new uploads, which are few and far between. This is annoying because before I upgraded I had unlimited optimizations as long as it was not a webp conversion which was premium. Now I cannot do any webp conversions or optimize any images.

    3) I emailed you 2 days ago at your [email protected] address which was provided with the premium upgrade confirmation….still no reply.

Thank you for any feedback you can provide.

  • Hi.

If you have chosen the WebP Delivery Method via htaccess, then the image files are replaced on the fly by the apache server. You can check for WebP if you add ‘.webp’ to the image URL.

Limits are spent on the original image and on all thumbnails (which are selected in the settings). Accordingly, the conversion of one image = 1 + the number of thumbnails.

I checked for a couple images by adding webp to the URL, I got 404 webpage errors.

Have you checked the images from the media library? /wp-content/uploads/2023….. ?

    yes, have you?

So this image has not been converted yet. You can check the webp images in the images folder – there should be ‘.webp’ files there

    Hi, this not working.

I waited 30 days for credits to refresh, so today over 4000 images have supposedly been converted to webp but when I go to the /wp-content/uploads/2023 there are no webp images.

In addition, all of the webp images that were previously there from the last optimization round are gone. Google is also still penalizing me in the speed score for “not using next gen format”.

In the optimization log there is just the same images as before. Where are these 4000 images that were supposedly converted?

This is starting to look like a waste of time and money. What do you have to say about it?
