WEBP conversions are not happening.

    Hi, we just installed this plugin for WEBP images delivery. since it is reccomended.

    However, after activating and then checking WEBP conversion, our JPEG imaghes are not being coverted to WEBP nor being served as WEBP.

    Can you help please.

    Hi m3gadeath,

    If you open the network tab of the dev console and refresh, you will see in the “type” column (which is the mime-type of what is being served) that a good portion of your images are coming through as WebP. It appears to be working correctly from what I can see.

    those are from the previous plugin. Webp express. But we have removed and put your plugin. However it is not showing webp. For example.

    WebP has two steps, generating and delivery. From what I can see, those images don’t have a WebP version generated for them. You will need to run a bulk optimize with the WebP option selected. There is an option in the Bulk Optimize window (right-hand side) to do a “WebP Only” which won’t re-optimize the images but will generate a WebP version.

    This means, everytime we uplaod a new image we need to run bulk optimiser?

    The plugin will not autmatically create webp image?

    No, by default, it will create a WebP version when you upload an image, but you need to run the bulk optimizer to get the existing images in your library.

    hi, that is what I have been saying new images are are not being converted to webp. Nor is it serving any new images as webp
