.WEBP file format

  • I admit I was left behind,
    i just found out about the existence of the file image format .WEBP
    I wonder if it is advisable to use this format
    considering that in some browsers it may not be supported

    In fact, many of us still love and use old good formats – JPEG, PNG and GIF where appropriate.

    Actually the difference in weight without compromising the quality of the .webp format is remarkable.
    I wonder if the lack of compatibility in older browsers makes them safe to use.
    Or if and how to use .webp with fallback
