Hello, I have installed the plugin and converted all images to webp successfully. Adding the rewrite rules to htaccess was also successful. However, I only see the webp images when I’m logged in, not logged out. We are using WP Rocket as the caching plugin but I’ve checked the settings and I’m not seeing anything that should be causing this, I also tried deactivating Rocket and it didn’t work either. Any ideas what else I can try?

    Hello,

When I inspect your site in the Dev console on the Network tab and refreshing, I am seeing images loading as WebP (the mime-type column loads as WebP). It looks to be working properly. Can you check in an incognito window?

Hello, thanks for you reply. I am checking in incognito and looking in the Network tab in the Type column – when I am logged in all of the images on the homepage load as webp (bar the svgs), but when I am logged out it’s more like 30% – 50%. Are you seeing all of the images on the homepage load as webp?

When I run the site through Google Lighthouse on mobile it picks up that I should use next gen images but only when I’m logged out, when I’m logged in there’s not identified as an issue.

It’s definitely the vast majority of them that are WebP. Note that if the system finds that the WebP version is larger than the original, then it won’t generate a WebP, but, again, as I see on your homepage, just about everything is WebP. https://ibb.co/9nrmGtk

Hello, I’ve checked back again today and I’m now seeing the same logged in as logged out (all webp), feels like a cache thing. Thanks, I’ll close this one off.
