…well not so much an issue really, just something that might have been overlooked on some websites.

In my version of Imagify, I’ve got the setting checked to ‘Back up Original Images’,

and then further down in the optimisation section,

‘Create WebP versions of images’, together with ‘use <picture> tags (preferred)’.

Works absolutely flawlessly now I must say with some amazing loading times, especially on my new SSD host!

One problem though – I decided to look the other night at getting the featured images (post thumbnails) to load up in a lightbox – which my theme allows.

All I’m getting when clicking on a featured image though is an error message, saying that the image could not be loaded.

I’m putting this down to all of my images now being ‘WebP’d’ and without turning off the WebP option and losing my fast loading times, I cannot see a way around this.

Is there a way to upload images to Imagify, but keep the featured images as jpg’s?

    It’s ok, sorted (I think).

My theme developer noticed there was a missing echo statement in the theme itself re featured image lightboxes, and they’re pushing out an update later this week which should solve it.
