WebP lossless not working

What I haven’t tried is turn off losslessly and have a higher value in the compression. I’ve set it up for next time not sure when the quota resets

that “WordPress Image Quality Control” is applied to wordpress at the moment the image was uploaded, afterward it won’t have affect on already existing images

for lossy or lossless , you can compare it to the backup file , insert .bk. into file name and you will see

e.g. https://domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/something.jpg to

https://domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/something.bk.jpg

oh that explains why all webP looked similar and heavy compressed. Is there a way to change the quality of the webP images?

losslessly sems to be fine for the jpgs but the webP is too compressed

well , unfrotunately no , it’s pre-defined on image servers, only lossy and lossless , 2 options.

if i replace webP images by mine with same name would that coz an issue ?

no , as long as you keep the file name in same

what happens if i upload the images before, litespeed image optimization generates them. Will the plugin overwrite the ones i uploaded manually or skip them?

you should override it to your own file after it is optm’ed , otherwise it will be overwritten, if you meant these webp that created by yourself.

is lossy/lossless supposed to work for webP conversion as well or just jpg?

coz they both give the same compression for webP

yes, just checked with dev , webp is fixed parameters, not obeying that option
