webp: Missing

    Hi,

    I am experiencing some strange issue in my wordpress multi site. I have used the cloud optimization till now but when I started dinging around EWWW plugin, which I really like and I think it does great job anyway, I wanted to make all my compressed files local and upload them to CDN.

    However, I am on shared web hosting server and I don’t think the issue is server related, because I have another exactly same WP multisite version installed in different folder on the same server and EWWW works perfectly ( I use that another WP for testing purposes only ). On my live network site I get this error ”webp: Missing” but on the other WP multisite is working fine using the same theme and plugins. I have also tested the image compressions on both installations and it gives me about 30-40 % different results on the exact same image. I mean worse results are obviously on the live site where webp: Missing

    I have removed and installed EWWW again but it’s still the same. I have also copied the folder as your manual says :

    ”If the automatic install did not work, find the appropriate binaries for your system in the ewww-image-optimizer plugin folder, copy them to wp-content/ewww/ and remove the OS ‘tag’ (like -linux or -fbsd).”

    Anyway, no luck ??

    Can you help me to figure this out, please ?

    Ok, next I’d like to see the debug output from your live site to make sure the binary didn’t get corrupted.

    Looks like your server is missing libjpeg. Install it, or ask your server admin to install it for you.

    I am sorry to replay this message so late. I have figured it out by reinstalling WP and uploading wp-content folder + backed up database to the place where it suppose to be. It’s working fine now. You can close this topic as resolved now. Cheers
