You can’t use position: absolute for that. Unless the container div is set to position: relative, the absolute positioned element will start at the next higher div with position relative.

try this:

<div style=”min-height: 10em; display: table-cell; vertical-align: middle;”>content</div>

Also, do not use inline styles.

give the div a class or ID and call it in the css.

Vertical alignment is not an easy task. Horizontal – no problem.

Yea the webpage has not really any content, just some examples of some experimenting.
It is a new webpage and it’s set in private for now. For now, horizontal allignment is what I need. I want to put text
not exactly in the middle but a little bit to the right. So I can put images later on
left of it. I hope this is easy to understand.
