Hello. From my understanding the SEO plugin helps manage what social media site show on their cards when sharing a site (the image, description, etc). I am trying to share my content on Minds.com and after talking with their support, they are indicating that it is my site failing to provide them the data they require.

As an example, I can post my homepage into twitter and facebook and the cards update with the proper information and image. If I post it on minds.com, however, iframely is indicating a failure 417: “Last but not least, the “expectation failed”. It is if you asked us to return it for URLs that do not match media requirements in your API settings.” https://iframely.com/docs/result-codes

I am not sure how to go about fixing this and was hoping someone here could help me out. Is minds.com simply not supported or is there something I (or you) could do to help me get this to work properly. Below is the debug link which is supposed to show a preview of what the content will look like, however my website does not work, but YouTube, for instance, does.

Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the help!

  • Hey, Ivan from Iframely here. I can confirm that you have all relevant information on the page, however our parsers simply cannot connect to your server.

So the problem is not with Yoast.

Rather, there’s an issue with your Apache’s config. It looks your server responds with connection:upgrade (to http/2), regardless of client’s request. That isn’t right. Our parsers make requests over http 1.1 at the moment. If you can’t figure it out on your server – please reach us at [email protected] to debug.
