webs site totally blocked after events made easy update

    Hi Franky
    I’ve just installed th elast update of your plugin, and my website is now totally blocked : I get this message on any page :
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/icarai/voileaviron.org/wp/wp-content/plugins/events-made-easy/eme_discounts.php on line 941

    and cannot access anymore to any page, including wordpress admin page.

    please help.
    only solution i can see is to suppress the plugin directory via FTP access ..

    Can you tell me your php version? I’m guessing you’re using an older version where this doesn’t work:

    
if (empty(array_intersect($a, $b)))

    But I can’t reproduce it. Reminder: you should switch to at least php 7.2 (all older versions are eol, even 7.0 and 7.1 are getting closed).

    thanks for your quick reply,
    true, my version seems to be PHP Version 5.4.45.
    I’m will try to modify it (but not sure to be able to do it since hosted by a provider).
    could it be possible to recover the previous events-made-easy version somewhere ?

    PHP 5.4 is unsupported by EME (and end of life since September 2015). You should switch to a newer version asap, and even the previous version of EME will not work correctly with php 5.4. Any provider forcing you to stay on that version is inviting your site to get hacked.

    I finally find out to change PHP version to PHP Version 7.3.1 and it works !
