Website and Email server on different providers

Hi,
I′m working on a website with the Konstructo theme that includes Contact Form 7. The site is being hosted in Godaddy, but the domain and emails are hosted with another provider. So, the other provider has setup the domain to point to my server to work with the website and provided me with an email account for the contact form.
Should I make any special customizations in this case? Because the contact form reports that the email has been successfully sent, but the email does not arrive.
Also, I wonder: Shouldn’t there be some place in the Contact 7 form setup where I tell what the email outgoing server (SMTP) and password is for the email to be sent?
