Website and WordPress Admin both inaccessible

Can you run through this similar post – being locked down by wordfence

This seems to be a problem caused by WordFence. Edit the .htaccess file (via FTP or your host control file) and remove the lines near the top related to wordfence-waf.php

I do have server access.

I was following the directions according to

That’s when things went awry. I’m not well versed on the back-end of websites with coding etc. but was trying to change the file name of what I thought was the right folder.

I went to .htaccess file and this is what’s there

suPHP_ConfigPath /opt/php54/lib
</IfModule>

Nothing about Wordfence though

It might make sense to post a question in the Wordfence support area, where their experts can weigh in.

sterndata, what if I simply deleted the Wordfence folder altogether?

You could try that, but I’d ask the WordFence folks first.
