Website appearance different in Customiser and Preview mode

  • I’m using WP for the first time to create a website for a local community park. I’m using Astra (free version) to make the website and I’ve created all the pages as drafts. I’m using Appearance > Customise > to make all the customisations in the website including the header and footer menus and design. The problem is that these are NOT showing up in the preview for any page. The Preview looks entirely different with a totally different header menu and a Take Action button which I’m unable to remove! I’ve tried publishing a page and the page shows up as the version with the unwanted button and without my customisations.
