    What is going on?

Everything is gone, not possible to access WP-admin or view any pages.

Files are there in ftp, the only change is Theme update.

  • Thanks Nikeo,

I’ve added via wordpress and it’s all back!

I’ll add Filezilla to my list of things to learn about but at the same time hope I never have to use it ??

    Theme Author presscustomizr

    @helen-lord : glad to hear that !
    ??

Brilliant thanks forexxxgaz – it’s really good to know how to do it easily – especially that deleting from wp-content/themes means I can then access the dashboard – that’ll save time and bucks in the future.

Is there a step by step to how to upload manually without filezilla?

Brilliant thanks forexxxgaz – that definitely sounds do-able and no Filezilla yayy

Thank you! It’s fixed on my site ??

Just to be clear, as I’m in the same boat as others here (also on HostGator), let me see if I have the right idea.
    1. I’ve downloaded the corrected version of the theme, and it’s in a folder called “customizr-2”.
    2. I should FTP this up to my site in wp-content > themes and replace the customizr folder that is there, leaving my child theme in place.

    Is that correct? Thanks!

So glad there were some knowledgeable people here to help out! Thanks to all of you, my theme is now back to normal. I’m hoping that twice having problems in a couple of months isn’t the norm. ?? I really do wonder why it seems that it was just HostGator people who experienced this.

    I didn’t have HostGator; I use GoDaddy.

I think you can see further back in the posts that it was a www.ads-software.com problem with a corrupted install zip.

    I stand corrected — and relieved! ??

I had the same problem yesterday. Going through previous forums I saw one solution being to add (-hold) without brackets to the end of customizr folder name in the wp-themes folder in my file manager. This immediately gave me access to wp-admin but did not allow me to enter or edit pages or to view my website. I then installed Customizr again and everything is up and running. My concern is that even though I updated to 3.4.11 my site looks no different to the previous version. Also, should I now remove the (-hold) tag from the customizr folder name?

By changing the name to customizr-hold, you are disabling the Theme. Nothing wrong with that if you’re trying to recover a broken theme. But after reinstalling, you must have a /customizr folder (the customizr-hold folder will be ignored so you can get rid of it).

    Here’s the notes about 3.4.11

I am having the same exact error as above and am absolutely lost as what to do ?? I don’t know much about this and use Customizr because I love it and it is simple.

What is the easiest way to fix this? I can’t even get into my Admin panel. Pleaseeee help!
