This morning I updated WP-Centrik to 1.0.4 through the prompt on my WordPress admin page. Now the entire website, including my admin page, is blank. Please help! Thank you. (The previous version was whichever was available for download several days ago).

    Hello proconsolo14,

Do you have access to FTP on your hosting? If you do then you can do one of the following to regain access to both site and the admin area.

    1) Access hosting via FTP and rename the plugin folder – this will effectively disable all active plugins. Check to see if you have access to admin and site. This process is so that we can rule out plugin conflict.

    2) If deactivating the plugins in 1 above does not help or if deactivating them will loose data then use this step: Rename the WPCentriK theme folder to something like WPCentriK100 and then check admin.

Once you have access to the Admin area go to Appearance and refresh the screen so that the default theme fully kicks in for the main site. This should now restore full access to both site and the Admin area.

Rename the WPCentriK and in Admin > > Appearance under the theme click “Live Preview” to see how the theme looks under the Customizer – If its blank then we have a problem with the theme itself but if its fine then the problem may well be to do with a plugin conflict.

At this point if the Customizer Live Preview points to a blank theme then delete the theme and install a fresh copy and test again. If its a plugin conflict if you could let me know the list of your plugins I’ll run some tests to see where the issue is.

Hello Zulf. A friend managed to restore my site and returned it to the basic Twenty Thirteen theme, citing a theme compatibility issue. I am worried that if I try to install the latest version of WP-Centrik again, the same problem will occur, and I won’t have the capacity to fix it on my own (I do not know how to use FTP). Is there any way I can download the earlier version? That one was working really well for me. Thanks so much.

I’m really sorry to hear that – you’d have loved the new futures in the latest version. Please do let me know the plugins that you have so that I can test and figure the problem out, I really want everyone to enjoy the themes I release with all the futures they come with ??

If you do not wish to post the list here simply open a ticket at https://www.wpstrapcode.com/support and I’ll take care of it personally.

As for the previous version you can always get a copy here https://www.ads-software.com/themes/wp-centrik/developers/ – look under the section marked other version and download the one you prefer.

If its ok with you, could you mark this thread as resolved for now but do feel free to raise another one if there are any issues you need looked in to.

    Regards,
    Zulf

Hi Zulf. Of course – the two plugins I was using were Google Typography and Hide Title. Thank you very much for your help and I’m sorry I’m not more tech-savvy. I will try to upgrade to the latest version at a later date once you have had a chance to check out the plug-ins. Thank you again for your time and patience! Very best, proconsolo14
