    Hi,

    I have recently updated my wordpress server from PHP 7.3 to 8.0

    I have faced an issue when all my article from my blog, in my original language cannot be displayed. After removing all my plugins it is confirmed that the error is coming from TranslatePress plugin. As soon as I activate it, I cannot see my article. I have an error 500 and the page is loading forever.

    All the website is visible, except for blog posts.

    I have also noticed that if I switch to another translated language, I can access all my website, including all blog posts.

    I am using Elementor.
    I cannot edit my aritcle using Elementor except if I use Elementor in safe mode.

    What can cause the issue please ?

    If I check the console log while loading the original language page while translating the page (coming from a working translated page), it looks like the error 500 is coming from webpack:///assets/src/js/editor.vue :

    watch: {
                currentLanguage: function( currentLanguage ) {
                    let self = this
                    //grab the correct URL from the iFrame
                    let newURL = this.iframe.querySelector( 'link[hreflang="' + currentLanguage.replace( '_', '-' ) +'"]' ).getAttribute('href')

                    this.currentURL           = newURL
                    this.iframe.location      = newURL

    from this line : this.iframe.location = newURL

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching out to us about your problem.

    The 500 error is a very general server error.

    One of the first web search results says that “The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site’s server but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.”??

    To debug this further, please follow these steps:
    ??
    1. Ask your host to identify this specific error and/or for the PHP error log.
    2. Try and increase your WordPress memory limit: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
    3. set WP_DEBUG to true in wp_config.php file: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WP_DEBUG and try again. See if you get any errors.
    ?4. Check if you have duplicate entries in your *trp_* tables from the database. If you do, you can use the Remove duplicate rows option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab to clear them.
    5. Try to do a conflict test (ideally in a staging environment):
    ??*Briefly* disable all other plugins and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. Please also disable all add-ons. If this fixes the problem, enable everything one by one, checking each time to see when the problem returns.

    Please let us know when you find the conflict so that we can take a look and see what we can do about it.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.

    Here is what I have tried :
    1. I don’t know where to find error logs
    2. Already increased to 256M
    3. WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are set to true
    4. I have done it without changes
    5. I have done it already and the issue appears only when I have TranslatePress activated, all other plugins are disabled

    One thing to notice is that when I check the source code of my page, I can see the content in html. But for some reason I am stuck at loading with always this 500 error.

    Once again, this only happen on blog article page. Not on other pages.

    One thing to notice, if I go to Safari, disable Styles it is working (but ugly obviously).

    Compared to the translated version, the original version has the content first, then at the end of the page the header.

    Also at the bottom of the original version, I have this message from wordpress : There was a critical error on this site.

    Greetings,

    Have you tried switching to a default theme like twenty-twenty?
    I think this might be the root of your issue.

    Also please send a link to your website so I can have a look myself.

    Best Regards,
