Website crash with Sydney child Theme

  • Hello everybody,
    One year ago I created a child theme based on Sydney theme. Fine. I develop my web-site with the page builder Oxygen. I made all the requested plug-in updates.
    I install Woo commerce and no problem till now. I install also the plug-in WOOF – WooCommerce Products Filter. To have the plug-in working on the page, I had to install a widget. Unfortunately, the menu wasn’t showed on the sidebar under “Appearance” in the administrator view. After research on the web I changed the theme on Sydney and the “Widget” menu appear. Great!
    My problem is that now, the system crash when I try to reimplement the Sydney Child menu
    I need your help because otherwise, I loose one year of modification!
    Somebody can help me?

    Please note that the Sydney theme was designed to work with the Elementor plugin. You can check the Sydney theme documentation if you haven’t done it already, here is a link:

    I’m not sure what exactly you are trying to do, can you please provide more details?

    Thank you for your response. I create a child Theme based on the Sydney Theme. I use the Oxygen Builder. I’ve made a lot of different customization and I implemented Woocommerce plug-in. In order to improve it I install also the WOOF – WooCommerce Products Filter plug-in. In order to configure it, I had also to go into the menu Appearance under Widget.
    Unfortunately, this menu wasn’t present. After making some investigation on the Web, I saw that the Sydney Child Theme was the problem. By using the original Sydney Theme the Menu Widget reappear under Appearance. Great!
    Now, my problem is by reassigning the child Sydney Theme, the WordPress Administrator crash and per consequences, the website too

    After making some investigation on the Web, I saw that the Sydney Child Theme was the problem. By using the original Sydney Theme the Menu Widget reappear under Appearance.

    You can try to create a new child theme and apply your modifications one by one, in order to find the problematic one. Then you will know what exactly has to be fixed.
