Hi there! This morning I tried to make a new POST on my website but there was no text editor and this message was written there: “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.”.

Then I tried to publish a new PAGE. The text editor was there but the publish button was a “submit for review” one although I was logged in as administrator (and the only user).

For this reason I logged out in order to see any changes in the permission when logged in again, but the login panel just refreshed the page when I inserted the right username and password.

Every time I try to login with correct username and password, the website goes down. After a few minutes it is up again. I realized that the website starts to go down cyclically every few minutes, and when it works I cannot login.

I recently updated wordpress to the latest version (4.3.1). Has this anything to do with it?

Now I’m out of the dashboard of my website and the FTP is the only thing I can actually control.

I tried all the solutions suggested by wordpress support. (disabling plugins, deactivating the theme, editing the user’s table, creating new login file)

    Any other suggests?

try MANUALLY re-updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.

Just tried, but unfortunately it did not work.
I still cannot log in and the website goes down frequently.
If I request a new password through my e-mail the panel does the same with the new password.

    Any other suggestions?

I tried to add a new user through PHPMyAdmin but seems that I haven’t the permission to do that as well.

I’m not allowed to use the query INSERT.

I still can’t log in. Even without the possibility to add or edit posts, I would still like to access my dashboard.
This is a serious problem that WordPress needs to solve immediately.

    – Please check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message and see why it’s failing. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

Finally I’ve solved the issue with the log in! The problem was the default space limit set by the provider in the database. I had to increase the database space and in 48 hours I was able to log in again. Now there are no problems with posts and pages as well.

I don’t know what’s the reason for this default database space limit but in the end it worked!
