Website dead…database problem?

  • Just checked my site and it’s jumping directly to the install php file for some reason. None of the content is visible. It just keeps going back to the same url.

    I’ve just checked the myphpadmin and it looks like the database that I’m used to seeing has been replaced by another one called “information_schema (17)” and is tiny compared with my old one. I don’t recognise any of the tables either.

    Any idea what’s going on? Is it anything to do with WP or is it obviously something going on server-side?

  • If you database has been altered you better contact your host ASAP!
    We cannot do anything about it.
    (eventually, remove that install.php file, somebody might go in and over-write whatever is left there!)
