I just updated our website and it’s going ok until I viewed it on an iPad and my iPhone5. I was startled to see that the website which appears ok onscreen pc will appear horribly in chaos on these devices. I hope you can help me sort this out.

  • to display correctly in iphone and ipad your website need to have a responsive theme. your current theme isnt responsive. please work with your graphic designer/ theme guy to get it responsive.

activate default theme and then view on iphone. default theme is responsive one.

Actually it was doing fine way back 2012, when it was done by a freelance web developer. Last quarter of 2014, it went funny over iPad when it was viewed by my boss though from time to time it will go back as it is. When I updated the new photos and put the src code for each of them in the admin panel and change the colors, the problem arises. Does it have to do with the version of the wordpress I have?

Is there no way to contact your theme developer?

I tried to contact the web developer who helped me published the website though he’s not cooperating =( He suggested to create the whole website from scratch and I was like being hit in a boxing ring to redo all that. I’m kinda stressed trying to figure out what went wrong. I did inspect element and there were errors but I can’t seem to find out where to look for it. Hope you guys can help me here.

is there anyone who can help me with my problem? I just need to sort this website issue which displays a rumble mess when viewed on iPad and iPhone. You can check it on your apple device using safari I’m really in dire need of help here. Does it have to do with the wordpress version I’m working?

I don’t see a big mess on an iPad – what’s not right?

Well, the pictures are scattered everywhere, when you view it on an iPad and iPhone. I just did just now on my iPhone and I was really devastated to even look at it. If you’re going to check it over on your pc it looks fine and ok. But when you check it on iPhone and iPad, I want to cry right now…can someone please help me? I really don’t know what to do…

The photos are not scattered all over the place where I’ve seen. What page are you looking at?

Try clearing the cache on your phone and ipad.

I tried it a number of times, it is still showing differently: when I cleared the cache on my phone, and viewed again it shows the google+ logo repeatedly on the background; tried clearing again, checked-the doctors pictures are scrambled with their names and one dr’s picture appearing at the header while on the slider, the logo appears together with the family pictures =( really a disaster…

What browser are you using? Doesn’t look anything like that on my phone or ipad.

I’m using safari on my phone, as well as on my iPad. I did inspect element on my pc and I can see errors like 4 and I’m really clueless:

yah it is not responsive …. what you should do is that use media queries to handle this

    steps
install the resond plugin so that it also work on IE 8
Then add media query at the end of style.css file and set your settings there for smaller screens.

I don’t know if it is allowed if you need my services I can help you if you provide me full site details. I can get in and do this for you.

Secondly if you have a premium theme then in your options page there might be an option to make the whole site responsive so also see that. If you need my assistance i can help you fix this.

@pluspt2001 – no you are not allowed to do that – please read the forum rules about helping out here:

ok thanks I didn’t know about that
