I recently moved to a new server and used this plugin as a backup incase migration didn’t go well.

Now that when I try to deactivate or remove the plugin from WordPress, the website times out and then hangs, almost as if httpd is hanging or something, but it isn’t because other websites are working just fine.

Could there be a reason why trying to deactivate this plugin caused so much of an issue for the website?

To determine the cause of the issue, you will need to review the error logs of your website. It is possible that the All-in-One WP Migration plugin is adding SSL configuration for a misconfigured server, and after the migration, the site requires proper SSL but the server configuration is incorrect. The error logs hold the information needed to solve this problem.

    Hi Yani,

    I have done the following:

    1. Opened the error_log file
    2. Deactivated the AIO-WP-Migration plugin via the WordPress toolkit
    3. Waited several minutes for the website to come back up
    4. Confirmed that there were no errors being written to the error_log
    5. Checked /var/log/syslog for any errors on the server (There were none)
    6. Reactivated the plugin via WordPress Toolkit and the site came back up instantly.

I have also tried deactivating all other plugins and then leaving yours until last, but as soon as I deactivate it, everything dies as usual.

Happy to make an account for you to look at it, but I must say that it’s super strange!

    Thanks

    Hi Yani,

Have you had a chance to take a look at this?

The error logs that you need to check are of PHP and your webserver, not syslog.

    Hi Yeni,

I have checked my php logs, nothing shows up in relation to this issue.
I even deleted the php logs, tried to deactivate wp-AIO again, waited for the site to become unresponsive again. Re-enabled the plugin, waited for the site to come back up, and still had no new errors in my php log.

Is there anything else you’d like me to check?
