website doesnt work on internet explorer

  • My website works on all browsers without any problem. But on internet explorer, i cant see the background images and some pages (which include image or google map) are empty on ie (on ie8 and ie10). What can be the reason for this? How can I fix this? About two weeks ago i updated my wordpress and before the update i didnt have such problems as far as i remember… so is this the problem? i would be grateful if you can help me….

  • have you tries to temporarily switch to default theme to check if it’s a theme-related problem? is your html w3c well-formed? can you post website url?

    i didnt try default theme, but i have been using this theme for months and there was no problem… plus if i swich to default theme and then return to my own, will my website be all the same after?

    i use a theme called flashlight, and my website is: yildizhumanities.com

    and i dont know how to check if the html w3c well-formed or not…i am new in these things

    I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.

    but i dont think the problem is with the theme i use. i guess it either related to wordpress update or there is something going on about internet explorer…

    Please deactivate all plugins and switch to the Twenty Twelve theme to explore this.

    anyway, thanks for the reply. i will check if it is with the theme or not. and if the problem is related to the theme i wont occupy here…
