    Can you confirm if your site has a wp-config.php file? Visiting the site brings up a fresh installation page. That happens if the file does not exist.

    Can you explain to me how to find out? I have no clue, this never happened before.

    Good news: you site is working fine now. ??

    When your WordPress site is visited it checks for an existing database installation via a configuration file named wp-config.php. If the file does not exist then your WordPress installation will redirect you to an installation page as your site was doing.

    You may want to contact your web hosting provider and ask them is something has changed for your site and if it was changed back. The important thing is that it appears to be working now.
