    Dear WordPressers

I am having a big problem with the company website.

This afternoon I had installed the plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-linkedin-auto-publish/) to have a look but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin and right after that, the website no longer works. I can only access the backend.
Now I am very stressed because it’s weekend and I can’t reach the webmaster.

    website: https://vil.be

This is the error message: Error thrown / Call to undefined function the_field()

Is it possible to fix this problem by myself or should the webmaster solve this?
Who can assist me on this matter?

    Kind regards
    Sonja

    Hi @sdw191263,

Thanks for your question. This is completely unrelated to our plugin. But I do know what this issue stems from. This is relating to the plugin ACF as they have made the function the_field obsolete. So you probably have some custom code somewhere like in a theme that calls this function which no longer exists.

The timing of this with deactivating our plugin is purely a coincidence. For more information, please see: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/blog/acf-6-2-5-security-release/ and for any further support relating to this issue, please contact the ACF team.

    Thanks,
