    Hi all, I’m new to the forum and hope someone can help me as soon as possible.
    I was having a problem with one of my website (navbar disappeared). In the process of fixing this issue (I’m not a developer at all), I added some code (but then deleted it) to the functions.php file and now the website is completely down! I can’t log in to the admin area anymore. Just a plain white page.
    What happened? How do I fix it? Can anyone help me please.. As you can imagine it is very urgent.

  • What theme are you using? You need to download a new copy of your theme to your local computer. Then using FTP or Cpanel (ask your hosting company if you do not know how to use one of those) to access the files on the server and replace that file – find it here:

    wp-content
    themes
        whatever-your-theme
             functions.php - REPLACE THIS FILE WITH A NEW COPY
