Website Field Error- Required but allows partial url

  • I am using contact form 7 v 4.8.1 for a website contact form.

    I have made the website field a required field. However, it is allowing partial url entry like this and allowing form completion without erroring out:
    Website: https://none

    Is there a fix for this issue?

    The website and form are on the latest versions of CF7 and WP 4.8

    Contact Form 7 Developers, Is there a fix for this issue?

    The Website Field is allowing partial url entries and allowing the form to be submitted. I have made this field a Required field so it should be waiting until the entire url is entered before allowing form completion.

    Using Contact Form 7 v 4.8.1 on WP 4.8.

    Let me know if you have a fix as yet?
